Sklené Teplice

Sklené Teplice is a thermal spa in the Banská Bystrica Region, first mentioned in historical records in 1550. Seven springs rise there, at 37 to 52.3 °C. It offers spa care funded by Slovak health insurance on a doctor’s referral, as well as stays for paying guests.

Its peat bath (rašelinový kúpeľ) is a mixture of finely crushed, highly humified peat and the spa’s thermal water: a 20-minute bath at 37–39 °C, followed by a rest in a dry wrap. A shorter peat compress (rašelinový obklad, 15 minutes) is also offered, and peat treatments are included in several of the spa’s 2026 packages.
