B&B Hiitolanjoki (riverbank sauna)

B&B Hiitolanjoki is a bed-and-breakfast in the former Kangaskoski border guard station near Simpele, about 700 metres from the Russian border. Its riverside sauna is a recently renovated, wood-heated log sauna on the bank of the Hiitolanjoki, a river that flows freely all year.

The peat sauna (turvesauna) is booked for groups through the regional Visit Rajamailla service. LehtoPeat sauna peat is spread over the whole body; the peat part takes about 30 minutes, after which the evening continues as an ordinary sauna. The sauna holds ten people, and guests can cool off in the river.
