About
Eduard Gerlach GmbH, maker of Gehwol, has produced foot-care products in Germany since 1868 and describes itself as the country’s best-known foot-care range, still family-owned five generations later. Its 1882 foot cream is presented by the company as the first industrially produced foot-care product to reach market, and Gehwol says it won a 2025 Beauty Forum Stars Award. Gerlavit, one of its body-care lines, combines moor plant extract with vitamins in a Moor-Vitamin-Cream sold mainly through pharmacies — positioning moor-based care as pharmaceutical rather than cosmetic.
